The 'Bugged' Quest Topic
Introduction
Quests can be very tedious when not working as they should. Sometimes there are solutions that can be applied for solving issues as an individual rather than waiting for a patch. This topic serves as a hub for bugged/glitched quests and possible solutions. So if any member run into a problem they could check here if its listed and hopefully supplied with advice. I would prefer if you would list information regarding quests in a neat way for readability by different members. Using the format below is the safest choice.
General
- The first thing you should do is relogging. Relogging has solved numerous questing bugs / zone glitches.
- Incase relogging did not help the next thing to try is to abandon the quest and retake it from the quest giver. (Personally on some quests i had to retry it over 3 times for it to work!).
- If a dungeon quest does not appear or only appears for a few party members, ALL leave the dungeon, abandon the group, remake the group, re-enter the dungeon. (This has been confirmed to work but does not have a 100% guarantee as there are other factors affecting the quests from not appearing), but definitly worth trying!
- Questing info can be very tedious as in providing wrong/weird information to work with. Make sure to always check if you should follow someone and check your journal for extra hints.
- When a quest is beyond your skills or knowledge to repair, open up a ticket. Customer support has a questing department so your questions about quests are (mostly) answered with correct and precise info.
Zones
The Rift:
- Geirmund hall has a quest where you should ressurect a dead body which will result in a npc appearing. If the ressurecting does not work, simply re-enter the cave and when ressurecting the body, SPAM YOUR USE BUTTON! (This quest was reported as fixed in patch notes 1.0.3 but i noted it here just to be sure, if someone could confirm it works now without spamming the 'use' button that would be nice).
- Concealed weapons - In Nimalten this quest has a bug where you cannot kill an npc that you are supposed to kill. (Aera earthturner).
